Joy to Holiday Decor :)

I love a project that comes together without a hitch and in no time at all. This is one such project. Or maybe it just seemed fast because I was enjoying myself. So, I started with a 10" x 20" canvas, which I flicked paint on, waited for it to dry and then covered that with green paint. Then I cut paper mats, inked em, stuck them together and then embellished each rectangle with a letter and other paper and bling, etc. I finished it off with stickles and ribbon around the edge. I can't wait til the stickles are dry so I can hang this on the wall :) Click image for larger view. Thanks for looking!!

No freebies this week :(

Sadly, I haven't had time to make anything this week. I am trying to prepare my house and Thankgiving meal this week along side of trying to finish a 20 page 12x 12 album for a family member in 3 days. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. I hope to be back to it next week. For those in U.S. who celebrate it, Happy Thanksgiving and for those brave souls that are going out for Black Friday, Happy Shopping! Here's hoping everyone survives and finds all the gifts they are looking for on sale :) Hugs my friends!!

Sugar Cube Snowman and Friend :)

I took the idea of my "Sugar Cubes" to the next level. I created this lil cutie from a block of wood I had left over from a perpetual calendar I once made. Painted the cube white, drew on a face with Bic MArk-Its, drilled holes for his twig arms (unevenly I might add, gives him character.....right? lol), and made him a hat and scarf with felt.
I took a pic with my cell phone and showed him to Jeanne, who responded with "He's so CAAAAUUUUUTE!!", she has a thing for snowmen. So I made her one too, here he is with his new BFF. I crocheted his hat and scarf myself!!
Two posts in one day, wow!

I made a Christmas wall hanging!!

I bought heaps of Bo Bunny "Tis The Season" papers, flowers, bu....suffice it to say that I love this line and went a little nuts with the embellishments at the Scrap store. (I don't always do that, but sometimes you just gotta have it all lol). I thought to make my own Christmas cards with it this year, but the more I looked at the Autumn wall hanging Jeanne made for me, the more I wanted to create something similar for Christmas. So that's exactly what I did. It was so fun to put together (minus waiting for the decopauge medium to dry that is, bleh). I finished it off by punching holes in each corner and connecting each piece with jump rings. I may make another one for my Mom but instead of jump rings I will try ribbon instead. I think it will look cuter. Anyhoo thanks for stopping by. I hope to have some free files posted in the next couple of days.

Ready for some Winter/Christmas Digis?

I call them Sugar Cubes. I was playing with the idea of creating characters set inside a cube shape. It's harder than it sounds, at least it was for me. I do however hope you find something you like and can use in your crafting. Remember, if you take a file, leave me a comment. I love getting your feedback. It makes my entire day, week, month, year BETTER! WHHHHEEEEEEEE!!! Got a little excited thinking about it, sorry. Uh-hem, if you create something using my digi images, please feel free to show me!! Without further ado here are the freebies for today: Click each image to be taken to its larger, downloadable counterpart. Thanks for coming by :) don't forget to let me know you were here :)

The cost of my files is, as always, a comment. I love getting your feedback. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I sound a little fanatical huh? That's because I am LOL. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look and perhaps a file or five. Hugs internet pals :) Have a FANTASTIC day!! Oh I almost forgot, I made the lines a bit thicker on some of these, what cha think?
